Sensory Planning Ltd. Fact Sheet
Hi! We’re glad you’re interested!
What is it?
The idea for Sensory Planning was born from a simple question:
"What if everyone came to one place to shape the world?"
Now they can.
We've revolutionized the planning process by empowering people to help plan everything from a small neighborhood park to a global initiative such as saving the rainforests.
The key difference between Sensory Planning and much of what is currently available to the stakeholders in the planning process- from citizens to planners to developers- is simple. We're building a platform to empower you to solve unique planning & development problems instead of relying on costly one-off "solutions."
Why This? »
Why this?
Few people come to public meetings. They just don’t have time. But most of us spend hours & hours online. That’s why our platform merges the Web, social media, and planning to empower more people to engage in planning choices to:
- Advance a cause
- Strengthen a policy
- Better a building
- Influence a development
- Support a neighborhood
- Enhance a city
- Improve a region
- Transform a country
- And change the world.
Who is it for? »
Who is it for?
We provide a dynamic, cost-effective service for public agencies, private firms, and nonprofits seeking to exponentially increase participation and attract a wider diversity of voices and ideas, including:
- Planners (government planning agencies and private sector planning firms)
Who want to ensure that plans will be "owned" by everyone, not just the political folks (who always show up to meetings) or angry groups concerned about their backyard, bringing transparency into the 21st Century.
- Designers (architects, landscape architects, urban designers, engineers)
To invite the world to the ultimate design collaboration or international charrette and create brilliance. Designers will welcome public critique, collect new ideas, and elevate a final product vetted by a global audience.
- Chambers (chambers of commerce, economic development government agencies and private firms, and business associations)
To ask the public for help to transform a local, regional, national or world economy in this unpredictable new era.
- Organizers (grassroots, non-profits of all sizes and missions)
These groups need to reach people with big ideas who appreciate the cause and are willing to unleash their creativity to solve problems.
- Developers (residential, commercial, office, industrial, mixed use)
Who see value in reaching out beyond traditional market studies and focus groups to spark the perfect project.
